Irrigation Service Program

Service First offers a seasonal irrigation system service program that is specifically designed to meet the needs of lawns and landscapes in this area. A three step program is designed to reactivate your irrigation system in the spring, comply with mandatory backflow checks, and winterize your system each fall. Our program also offers and optional mid-season performance check and repair services as required.

SPRING SERVICE — System Reactivation & Backflow Device Test

• Turn on water and visually inspect plumbing and vacuum breaker.
• Activate controller, set watering schedule, and test all valves in system.
• Inspect and adjust system for proper coverage.
• Check cleanliness of heads and nozzles. Trim sod from around all heads and flush as necessary.
• Connect drain pump and suction lines, check valve and filter if applicable
• Check backflow device valves.
• Test differential pressure relief valve.
• Complete backflow device preformance report form and submit it to your water company.

MID-SEASON SYSTEM CHECK

• Turn on and check controller and valves for proper operation.
• Check and adjust sprinkler heads for proper covearage and distribution.
• Adjust controller for proper seasonal watering needs.
• Inspect for line leaks and broken sprinkler heads.

FALL SERVICE — System Winterization

• Turn off irrigation system water supply and drain inside pipes and vacuum breaker.
• Remove and/or drain pump, suction line, check valve and filter if applicable.
• Deactivate controller and valves.
• Blow all lines free of water.
